We travel to the desert of New Mexico to visit the studio of illustrator Elliot Lang to see his process while illustrating the novel and discover that reality is closely connected to the fiction.

After discussions with the authors estate, it came to light that Elliot’s grandparents actually helped build the desert monastery that Miller used as inspiration for the setting of this millennium spanning narrative. 

Is it fate or just an incredible co-incidence?
